  This was our second stay at Mayan Sky and we were, once again, not disappointed. If you're looking for lots of privacy, peace & quiet, tremendous views of Coral Bay and the surrounding mountains - you'll find it here. The pool,the outdoor shower stonework and the interior of the villa are like a combo of a Tuscan villa with Caribbean flair. Can't wait to return!

  My wife and I only had one night at Mayan Sky, but before we left we were already thinking about when we could come back with friends and stay again. Great quiet location with all the ameneties that you could ask for. There are enough isolated bedrooms that three couples could easily share without compromising each couples space. We were already recruiting couples to go back there soon. Thanks Jessica and Ms. Pearl for being very cordial and making us feel so very welcome.

  Family of 3 stayed over Christmas. Very well equipped villa, well kept, fairly quiet location (neighbors were a little noisy outside). The location is away from Cruz Bay but still has a number of very nice beaches and restaurants within minutes. Felt very much at home during our stay.

Mayan Sky is fairly secluded and not within close distance or visible to any neighbors or other villas. We do apologize if there may have been some noise and if you could let us know in what direction you heard this noise that would be helpful. This is the first complaint we have ever received about noise from this villa, and we will address your concern to the appropriate villa company or person regarding the neighborhood noise curfew.   This was our first trip to St. John and the Caribbean. Mayan Sky Villa was perfect for our family. It was tastefully decorated, very clean, fully equipped with anything and everything you might need, and the view was breathtaking! VIVA Villas' personnel
  were very professional, helpful and friendly! Nakira, our greeter from VIVA, was so nice! She met us at the barge dock, waited for us to grab some bottled water and then led the way to the villa. She gave us a tour of the villa, explained everything was needed
  to know about the villa and St. John. Nakira was friendly, helpful and thorough! We had a fabulous vacation in St. John and a very relaxing and pleasant stay at Mayan Sky! We definitely recommend Mayan Sky Villa to anyone wanting quality accommodations and

  Great house that was very clean and had everything we needed. Loved having beach towels, chairs and bags provided. Because of the hills on the island a car is a must. Not appropriate for walking on the roads. Staff were very helpful making reservations for activities and welcoming us on the island.

  Loved the view adn teh great kitchen. If there is one thing to change it would be to have screens on all the windows. We don't like airconditioners and found it frustrating that we couldn't catch more of those amazing breezes. But, had an amazing trip.

  Mayan Sky has a beautiful location overlooking Coral Bay. The house was spotless and VIVA's staff and housekeeping were wonderful. The only down side of this house was the pool. It is not heated, so most of the time it just was not warm enough to use for any extended length of time, and definitely not at night. Also, it has a uniform depth of approximately 5 feet, six inches, so I could not stand in the pool as the water was over my head. Several mornings we found dead frogs in the pool. I have not encountered this in my other stays at places in St. John with pools, and we suspected it might be due to the heavy landscaping around the pool. I would recommend this house but would make sure it was clear about the limitations of the pool and the frogs. Maybe a better rental for people who do not really intend to use the pool.

Update: We have not been able to find any frogs in the pool at Mayan Sky...hopefully this was a one time event but we will keep an eye out for those little hoppers!

  Beautiful home,fantastic view ! We liked that the villa had private/seperate sleeping areas. The terrian was a bit challanging but would not STOP us from staying there again!Look forward to booking Mayan Sky in the future !

  It was everything we expected.The only thing that We would have improved would have been the cleanliness of the pool and to have a better view of Coral Bay when you are in the pool.The ice maker was only good for a few glasses of ice then it seemed to jam up,but there were no serious problems or setbacks

  We had a great stay at Mayan Sky. The location near Coral Bay was perfect. The villa was very comfortable and had a beautiful view of Coral Bay. There was one downside. The pool pump was not working at all during our stay. Once it was fixed it knocked out the electricity for the kitchen including the refrigerator. The propoerty manager was able to care of the electrical issues except for the pool. I am sure these problems will be fixed in the near future if they have not already been fixed. We would be happy to stay at Mayan Sky again.

  Thanks you so much for a wonderful week at Mayan Sky. The house was just fabulous! We made last minute reservations and the Viva staff was great to make sure our last minute trip was arranged. Our greeter, Brenda, was wonderful. Since our flight to St. Thomas was delayed, we didn't arrive until late. She was kind enough to go to the car rental agency and pick up our car keys for us earlier that day, so that we could still use our car that night. The house itself was wonderful. The pictures don't do it justice. The welcoming basket of goodies was great as we were really hungry when we arrived. One thing that any renter should be aware of is that only the master bedroom is attached to the main living space, so the other 2 bedrooms are separate (one is ourside downstairs and the other is across a small veranda). This means that you have to lock the bedroom doors when you go to bed. Having 2 small children, I didn't feel comfortable with them in a locked room away from me where they couldn't come get me if they needed to and I wouldn't be able to hear them from the master bedroom. So we all bunked together in the master bedroom. The pool was wonderful and great for a morning dip in the pool. The location was perfect - away from Cruz Bay, but close enough that it was an easy drive. Coral Bay was very convenient as were most of the north shore beaches. Lastly, our flight got cancelled and so we couldn't leave for another day (no tears were shed!). Viva was wonderful in letting us stay for another night. Thanks again for a most memorable vacation! We would highly recommend Viva and Mayan Sky to anyone interested in coming to St. John.

  We just wanted to make sure that Sherylinne is recognized for her incredibly hard work. We arrived on St. John and had rented another villa with another property rental company. Upon booking, we were told the property was 'private' which was our primary criteria. Much to our chagrin, we arrived at the villa and it was far from private. It was a nightmare. We immediately called VIVA on that Saturday afternoon. Although she was getting ready to shut down the office for the weekend, Sherylinn spent lots of time on the phone with us recommending some available properties that would suit our tastes. She even returned our calls on Saturday evening, after hours. The next day, we met her at Mayan Sky and we checked in to the paradise she promised. I must note that she did this on her husband's birthday to boot and went out of her way to make sure that our vacation was rescued by getting us into Mayan Sky starting on Sunday. Sherylinn should be commended! Please give her a promotion or a raise!! She's the type of employee that should be held on to. Thanks to her hospitality, we will ALWAYS use VIVA (this was our 4th trip to St. John) in the future AND we will recommend VIVA to our friends who know how picky we are about accommodations and customer service. Give Sherylinn our best and thank her again for her incredible hospitality and for saving our vacation!!!!

• We Loved Mayan Sky

  Overall Mayan Sky was wonderful!!! The location, view and property itself were beautiful.
  
  Pros: Almost everything.
  Cons(and not major at all):
  
  * Screens opening in bathroom shower - For safety reasons it would have been nice to have a window to close and lock for safety and to keep the air conditioning in. Although, it was wonderful taking a shower with an open window though!!!
  
  *Video library was very limited. It shouldn't even be advertised in the villas description.
  
  *Television channels - very basic TV. Our daughter wanted to watch Disney and Nick during the evening. I missed not checking on The Weather Channel for local weather.
  
  * Layout - good for three couples. Our daughter slept with me in the master bedroom and my husband slept across the way in the other upstairs bedroom. Otherwise she would have been totally separated from us.

    Thanks so much for your feedback. The owners have since increased the volume of videos available to renters and have a selection that includes something for adults and children. Additional amenities at Mayan Sky include wireless internet, and board games. The bathroom windows are quite tropical in design and adds character to the villa-we see that you enjoyed it!
