  Villa Andara is a fabulous place. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is impeccable! Spectacular views, well stocked kitchen, everything was better than pictured. We got married under the gazebo, so picturesque, couldn't have dreamed of anything better!
  
  A few things to consider before booking the villa. The driveway is difficult to pull into. The pitch of it is steep downhill and requires a person to guide you in. I consider myself a very skilled driver and I was terrified to pull into it! Not a huge issue, just park on the road as there are no other villas in this development. Be prepared to climb a lot of stair down/up to/from the villa. Good exercise but something to consider for an older individual.
  
  There is one another villa being built right next door at the time of this posting. It wasn't much of a noise issue as we thought it may have been. However, you will eventually have a neighbor that can see you floating in the pool if total privacy is what you're after.
  
  Time to Cruz Bay, 30-35 minutes. If we were to stay on the Coral bay side again, we would certainly stay here again. Great job on this villa, perfect in every respect!
  
  Viva Villas is a great rental company. I would recommend them to anyone searching for a villa.
  
  P.S: Pack some Deep Woods OFF, the mosquitoes can be tough on St John after the rains and at dusk.

    Thank you so much for your feedback on Andara! Congratulations on your wedding and honeymoon at the same time! The driveway is a bit steep which we do inform all guest a 4WD vehicle is required. The new villa is about a 10th of a mile from Andara and we've not been able to see the pool from that location because of the angle of the new villa!   I have traveled extensively and rented many villas and vacation homes. This villa is by far the nicest I've ever seen. There were four adults and two teens in our party. The house is large enough so that everyone could have their own space if desired. The views are beautiful. The only downside were the no see um bugs that were relentless. That, and the fact we had to eventually leave.

  The villa is absolutely beautiful with amazing views! We are frequent visitors to St. John and have stayed in different locations on the island. This property would have been perfect with the exception that there is construction going on next door so there was no privacy outside or in parts of the villa and the noise started at 6:30am and continued until dark. We asked VIVA Villas when we booked the property if there was construction nearby and were told there was not. Apparently the construction started a short time after we had made the booking and we were not notified of that fact. We found out when we arrived at the property. Had we been notified that construction started we would at least been able to discuss staying or booking a different property. We do not believe that VIVA Villas acted in good faith. We will continue to visit beautiful St. John and use this as a learning experience but we will not be using VIVA Villas as the booking agent.

We’re thrilled that you found the villa to be “beautiful with amazing views” , however, at the same time we want to sincerely apologize that your stay was not exceptional due to the construction nearby. Please know that your feedback is paramount to us and it really matters-we share your comments with the entire team, the villa’s home owner and the owner of VIVA as well! We wanted to make sure it was extremely clear that at the onset of construction nearby Andara, we immediately listed a construction advisory online and connected with ALL guests who had already made reservations at Andara to inform them of the construction activities. Construction on St. John can happen at any moment and usually does without notice to the surrounding neighbours or property managers. Fortunately, we were able to connect with the contractor and he has been terrific and has gone beyond our expectations on providing us with updates as to the stages and noise interruptions…updates which we pass on to our onsite Andara guests. Your initial booking of the home and visit to our website would have not made your missing of this construction advisory possible. We also reviewed your files and in numerous emails, with our Guest Services Team, there was communication specifically regarding the construction activity. Still, and if by chance you may have forgotten those emails and conversations, we still would like to apologize that we did not ‘drive it home’ to you and for any mis-understanding. Although you stated that you would never rent from our company again, we sincerely hope you will reconsider and give us an opportunity to show you what an unusual experience you had and how great the Viva staff can be.   I had the privilege of a visit to Andara Villa for eight blissful nights. My family was blown away by the beauty of this home and surroundings. The home is a work of art, and pictures (and a verbal description) cannot do it justice. Also, the nature that surrounds the house:the birds, the flowers, the coconut and banana trees, create a tranquil environment to relax. This villa is equipped with any amenity one could imagine. There were more televisions (and bathrooms) than people. Even pool floats and toys were included. Plenty of beach chairs and coolers and even a beach bag for each of us was also included. We especially enjoyed the outdoor living space in the afternoons. This vacation was a dream come true, and I highly recommend this villa and Viva. Viva was very responsive to any issue we encountered. The only bad experience was having to say good bye.

  Andara is perfection, we could not think of a thing to change. Pictures just do not do this place justice. When you first stand at the top of the driveway it's hard to breathe. The panoramic view cannot be put on film. The quality of everything in the home was top notch down to the Tommy Bahama beach chairs with backpack straps. Everything was so well thought out with the quality of our experience at the bottom line. We know the island very well and knew exactly where this home was located but we want new people to understand how far this villa is away from town. It is a 40 minute drive on winding roads at night. This did not bother us one bit but we feel this may be a surprise to others less experienced in St.John travel. Coral Bay has wonderful restaurants so we went to Cruz Bay just three nights.
  All in all we had a fabulous time and would recommend Andara 100%. Thanks to Viva, they were very professional and great to work with.

  The photographs online looked great before we booked, but they definitely don't do the villa justice in person! The place is a trek from Cruz Bay, but extremely private (exactly what we were hoping for). We definitely found plenty of use for our 4WD vehicle
  and Off Bug Spray, but outside of that we could not have asked for a better place to spend the last week of our honeymoon. WHEN we return to St. John, we certainly would love to stay at Andara Villa again!

  Andara Villa is an exceptional property with breathtaking views, a great open, large layout and every amenity you can imagine! Our family had a great time in the pool and hot tub every day and really enjoyed the very large family room and kitchen. St. John is incredible by itself but staying at Andara made it even more enjoyable and relaxing. Viva did a great job taking care of us – getting us to the home and reviewing how to find and use everything that we might need.
